Decision 2008
This is probley one of the most important elections in are countries history. There are so many topics involved in this election. Examples are War in Iraq, Gas Prices, Higher Education and many more topics. My first question is, what are the important issues to you if you have any at all? The other question is, do you really care who is elected the next president of the United States? Third question is, Do you think your vote makes a difference and why?

Nate,
This would be a great topic for the discussion board. Why not submit it there as well?
To answer your questions. I consider all of the items you listed as important issues. In addition, I consider immigration and public education to be in a critical state right now.
President of the US? I have voted in every election since 1972. Somtimes I have voted for the winner, sometimes not. What matters is that you take a stand and when the dust settles you back the winner. Partisanship is tearing this country apart. Somewhere down the path of history the opposition became the enemy.
Does my vote make a difference? Just look at the 2000 election. The population of a small town decided the presidency. Yeah, my vote makes a difference.

Thanks for you comment bruce. I appreciate it. I think young college students do not think about voting is in our country. The way we vote affects all of these issues. Hopefully this blog will help them to think about it.
